Symbinar - Mr. A. Ram Gopal

As part of the live webinar series ‘Symbinar’, SIBMH hosted Mr. A. Ram Gopal, Plant Head, Signode India Limited, Rudraram, to discuss “The Changing Role of an Operations Manager in Times of Uncertainty and Turbulence.” His major focus was on effectively communicating the importance of a perfect process that incorporates traits that can be valued, is capable, available, flexible, adequate and has a flow, in order to achieve the pull, i.e. making it comprehensive as and when the customer needs it. He believes that these characteristics of a perfect process leads to an outcome that can be seen through high quality, low costs, improved delivery and a high sense of morale. The session was insightful, engaging and made the students practically understand the nuances of operations as a field of study. The Q&A session was interactive where the students asked questions that were intellectually timulating. We look forward to hosting more such informative webinars with our respected guest.
