As part of the live webinar series - SYMBINAR, we hosted Mr. Arpit Khandelwal, Senior Manager - Investment Compliance, Invesco India Pvt. Ltd who spoke on the matter “Impact of COVID-19 on Financial Markets”.
It was an insightful session for all the finance students as they were able to understand how the financial markets and economy has been hit due to the onset of this global pandemic. The session predominantly focused on the volatility that exists in the market and the impact on jobs, different sectors and the changes in interest rates to cope up with the challenges.
The '20 lakh crore' package announced by the government was also discussed in depth as the students were curious with respect to its outcome and benefits that will accrue. The session was interactive that allowed students to actively participate during the discussion.
The Q&A session saw students asking questions that were intellectually stimulating.
