Case study is one of the most popular pedagogy used by globally renowned B Schools. Keeping in line with trend, SIBM-Hyderabad also follows case method of Learning since its inception. Every year, workshop is conducted for MBA fresher’s to orient them to case method of learning. This year a two day workshop “Nuances of Case Method of Learning” was conducted for MBA (2018-20) 1st Semester students on
July 21 & 23, 2018. The workshop was conducted by the following Resource Persons:-
Dr. Ravi Kumar Jain, Director SIBM-Hyderabad
Dr. Satya Prasad VK, Head Academics, SIBM-Hyderabad
Dr. Saradhi G, Head Case Development, SIBM-Hyderabad
Dr. Ravi Kumar Jain set the tone for the workshop by explaining about the need, importance of case study pedagogy in the morning session.
Later in the afternoon session Dr. Ravi Kumar Jain orchestrated rich discussion on the case “Valuation of Air Thread Connections”
Dr. Saradhi Kumar Gonela facilitated the case discussion on
“The Inexorable Rise of Walmart” case.
Next it was the turn of Dr. V K Satya Prasad, who moderated and facilitated case discussion on first “Pepsico & Madonna” and followed it up with the “Magellan Boats” case.
