The primary objective of Ethnic Day 2025 was to create a platform for students to embrace and celebrate cultural diversity, fostering a sense of unity and connection among the participants. By encouraging collaboration and creativity through engaging activities and thematic elements, the event aimed to provide a refreshing break from academic routines while promoting cultural awareness and appreciation.
The outcome exceeded expectations, with enthusiastic participation and lively energy throughout the evening. The games, performances, and DJ night brought students together, sparking a sense of community and shared celebration. The event not only highlighted the richness of cultural traditions but also left attendees with cherished memories and a renewed spirit of camaraderie.
A special addition to the event was the presence of Belgian Waffle Co., which set up a stall on campus for the occasion of Jashn – the Ethnic Day celebration. The stall offered a variety of delicious waffle flavours, attracting enthusiastic participation from students. The initiative added a unique and enjoyable touch to the festivities. Students responded positively, expressing delight at having a waffle stall within the college premises. Overall, the collaboration contributed to a pleasant and memorable experience for attendees.
On 22 nd November 2025, Mélange, the organizing committee, hosted a grand Ethnic Day celebration in the auditorium from 6:30 PM onwards. This vibrant showcase of cultural diversity brought students and faculty together to honour traditions, express creativity, and celebrate the rich heritage that unites our community.
The theme of JASHN focused on celebrating India’s diverse festivals and showcasing the nation’s vibrant cultural heritage. Through traditional attire, décor, and festival-inspired activities, the event highlighted the unity, colour, and significance of Indian festivities. Students engaged in an immersive cultural experience that promoted appreciation for diversity and strengthened the sense of community. JASHN successfully reflected the spirit of celebration, togetherness, and cultural pride within the college.

Their presentation set an uplifting and harmonious tone for the evening, immediately capturing the attention of the audience. Next up, we played our game, Desi Dhamaka Twist, which put the participants' creativity to the test. The event featured an engaging on-stage game designed for individual participants. Each player was required to pick a chit containing a number, which corresponded to a unique dare they had to perform. The activity encouraged spontaneous creativity as participants showcased their confidence and enthusiasm while completing their assigned challenges.
The interactive format added a lively dynamic to the event, resulting in continuous laughter and energetic responses from the audience. The game successfully created a fun and light-hearted atmosphere, fostering active involvement and friendly banter among students. The event concluded with a lively DJ Night that commenced at 10:00 p.m., adding a high-spirited finale to the evening. Students gathered on the dance floor and enthusiastically participated, creating an energetic and joyful atmosphere. The upbeat music and vibrant ambience kept the crowd engaged throughout. The segment witnessed active student involvement, reflecting the excitement and enjoyment of the participants. Overall, the DJ Night served as a fun and memorable closing to the event.
Admission to all the courses and programmes at Symbiosis International (Deemed University) (SIU) are strictly on merit, based on the eligibility criteria, admission criteria and processes prescribed by the University from time to time and assessment of individual performance in different entrance tests / procedures conducted by SIU including Symbiosis National Aptitude Test [SNAP], Symbiosis Entrance Test [SET], Symbiosis Law Admission Test [SLAT], Symbiosis All India Admission Test [AIAT], Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design [SEED], Symbiosis Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam [SITEEE] and Symbiosis Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET).
It is a matter of Policy that Symbiosis International (Deemed University) does not charge capitation fee for admission from students and this is widely and prominently published as well on all the relevant places like prospectus, website, Admission Booklets, etc.
All aspirants / parents are hereby notified that some individuals and/or organisations are giving / making false and misleading advertisements / claims in newspapers, websites, social media platforms or other means that they can secure/ ensure admission to various programme offered by Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Such individuals or organisations may also seek or demand money from aspirants or their parents in consideration of such purported assurances.
Aspirants and parents are advised to rely only on information and communications issued through the University's official channels, and to independently verify any claim regarding admission made by any third party.
It is informed at large that the University has not authorised or appointed any individual, agent, consultant or organisation to guarantee, assure or otherwise represent that admission to any course or programme, can be secured against payment of money or through any means other than the prescribed admission process. In this regard, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) requests the aspirants / parents to refrain from entering into any transaction with such elements. Despite this Notice, if any aspirant / parent still proceeds with or enters into transaction with such elements, they would be doing so at their own risk and cost.
Symbiosis International (Deemed University) further notifies that any aspirant attempting to approach Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for admission through or at the instances of such agents will be permanently debarred from admission to all the courses and programmes at Symbiosis International (Deemed University).
