Constellation Day 2026

Objective:

To conduct the official ceremony marking the transition of responsibilities from the outgoing student council members to the newly elected position bearers of the student body.

Outcome:

The ceremony formally recognized the contributions of the outgoing council members and welcomed the newly elected student representatives who will lead the various cells and clubs for the upcoming academic term.

Mélange – The Organizing Committee of SIBM Hyderabad organized the “Constellation Day 2026” on 6th March 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Auditorium.

“With great power comes great responsibility.” The heads and deputies from the batch of 2024–2026 truly embodied this sentiment. With their commitment to learning, adapting, and taking initiative in leading events, activities, and responsibilities, they played a significant role in strengthening the student community. Constellation Day 2026 served as a moment to pass on this spirit of leadership and responsibility to the members of the new Student Council from the batch of 2025–2027.

The event began with a welcome address, followed by an enlightening speech by the Director, Dr. K. P. Venugopala Rao. This was followed by the reading of the Annual Report by the outgoing Vice President, Ms. Telugu Sahithi Laya Khaspa, who highlighted the various initiatives and activities undertaken by all the cells and clubs during their tenure, reflecting their collective efforts.

The ceremony then moved to the pinning of badges for the newly elected position bearers, marking the formal transition of roles and responsibilities. This symbolic gesture represented the trust placed in the new council members to lead their respective clubs/cells and contribute meaningfully to the student community in the coming year.

Subsequently, certificates were distributed to the outgoing council members in recognition of their dedication and contributions throughout their tenure. Their efforts in organizing activities and representing the student body were acknowledged and appreciated by the institute.

Following the certificate distribution, a group photograph of the outgoing Constellation members was taken to commemorate their term and contributions.

The ceremony then proceeded to the Oath-Taking Ceremony, where the newly elected members formally pledged to fulfill their responsibilities with integrity, commitment, and dedication to the growth of the student community.

After the oath, group photographs were taken with the newly elected members along with the outgoing Constellation members, followed by photographs of the newly elected Constellation members individually as a team. These photographs marked the symbolic handover of leadership and the beginning of a new chapter for the student council.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by the outgoing President, expressing gratitude to the Director, faculty members, organizing clubs, cells, and students for their presence and support in making the ceremony successful.

Constellation Day 2026 marked not only the beginning of new responsibilities for the incoming council members but also served as a moment to celebrate the dedication and achievements of the outgoing team.
