The primary objectives of this event are to cultivate a profound sense of patriotism and national pride among the student body, while simultaneously showcasing the rich tapestry of Indian culture. Furthermore, we aim to create a platform that empowers students to exhibit their talents and creativity. Finally, this event seeks to strengthen the bonds within the college community, fostering a sense of unity between students, faculty, and staff.
Outcome:
The Independence Day celebration has been a resounding success, fostering a strong sense of nationalism and unity among the students. The event will also provide a valuable opportunity for students to showcase their talents and learn about India's rich heritage.

Independence Day is a momentous occasion that commemorates India's freedom struggle and its rich cultural heritage. To foster patriotism, national pride, and a sense of unity among the students, we propose organizing a grand Independence Day celebration at our college. With warmth and joy, all the campuses, that is SIBM, Hyderabad; SLS, Hyderabad and SCMS, Hyderabad celebrated the occasion on 15th August 2024.
Mélange – The Organizing Committee in collaboration with Hashtag – Public Relations and Website Committee, DARC – Discipline, Pratibimb – The Photography Club, Dauntless- The Sports and Wellness Committee, Graffiti – The Arts and Creativity Club of SIBM, Hyderabad celebrated “Independence Day” at 08:30 AM on 15th August 2024 in the Parking and Auditorium of SIU, Hyderabad campus.
The event commenced with the hosts delivering a rendition of a patriotic poem, followed by formal introductions and a gracious welcome extended to the campus administration, faculty, staff, and students. Subsequently, the Prabhat-Pheri, a ceremonial march, was executed with the guidance of our campus guards.
Following the hoisting of the national flag by the directors of SIBM, Hyderabad and SLS, Hyderabad, the Deputy Director of SIBM, Hyderabad, and the Campus Admin – SIU, Hyderabad, along with the Semester Topper of the MBA batch 2022-23 (Miss Leena Burju), the national anthem was played.
Next, we were instructed to assemble in the auditorium, where Dr. K.P. Venugopal Rao, the Director of SIBM Hyderabad, was invited to deliver an address to the audience and impart his words of wisdom on the occasion.
Following this, the singing vertical of SLS, Hyderabad delivered a spirited performance, delighting both the attendees and guests with their musical talents.
The performance by Team Aaroh, The Singing Vertical of Antardhwani, was remarkably enthralling. Their heartfelt singing not only captivated the audience but also established an atmosphere of tranquillity.
Prof. Rajanikanth Aluvalu, the Director of Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, delivered a speech emphasizing the role of education in preparing students for future challenges and its contribution to societal progress.
The Singing Vertical of SCMS, Hyderabad presented a vibrant performance, evoking joy among both the attendees and guests.
The subsequent speaker at the event was Retired Colonel T. Venugopala, who serves as the Campus Administrator of SIU, Hyderabad. He delivered an address on this momentous occasion, followed by presenting certificates of appreciation to the staff of SIU Hyderabad campus in recognition of their exceptional contributions.
During the event, Team Vibe - The Dance Vertical of Anthardhwani of SIBM, Hyderabad delivered a poignant performance intended to cultivate a sense of patriotism among the student body.
A Prize Distribution ceremony was held to honour the winners and runners-up of Aikyam 1.0, organized by team DAUNTLESS – The Sports Committee of SIBM, Hyderabad.
The team from Hunar - Dance Vertical of SCMC, Hyderabad delivered an exceptional performance, which encompassed a dynamic fusion of contemporary and classical styles. The demonstration exhibited the exceptional versatility and creativity of the performers.
Following the event, a prize distribution ceremony was held to honour the winners and runners-up of the Arjuna competition, organized by DARC – The Discipline and Anti Ragging Committee in collaboration with DAUNTLESS – The Sports and Wellness Committee of SIBM, Hyderabad.
The event featured a captivating dance performance presented by SLS, Hyderabad, delighting both the attendees and guests.
The event was concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Miss Sanjana Pagidipalli, Vice President of the Student Council at SIBM Hyderabad. The celebration of our independence was unquestionably a resounding triumph.
