International Students’ Day


Objective:

To celebrate International Students’ Day. To honor and celebrate the diverse cultural backgrounds of the international students at our college, fostering a greater sense of community and global understanding.

Outcome:

The celebration left the audience energized and with a greater sense of belongingness.

International Students' Day at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Hyderabad was a huge success, filled with diverse cultural and celebratory events. The event aimed to honor and recognize our international students, fostering a spirit of inclusivity and global understanding. The audience comprised SIBM 1st and 2nd year students, SLS students from 1st to 5th year, SCMS 1st to 3rd year students, SIT 2nd year students and the new batch of international students.

The event began with the lighting of the lamp ceremony symbolized the illumination of knowledge and unity. This was done by our Chief Guest Mr. Nakul Dalwala, Ms. Adeline, Dr. K.P. Venugopala Rao, Director, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Hyderabad, Dr. Sunil George, Director, Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad and Prof. Rajanikanth Aluvalu, Director, SIT Hyderabad, Aditya Jha from Symbiosis Center for Business Management, Lavanya Dutt from Symbiosis Center for Business Management.

The event was declared open after an inspiring address to the guests and audience by Dr.KP Venugopala Rao, Director, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Hyderabad emphasizing the importance of cultural diversity and the value of international students to our academic community. The speech highlighted the college's commitment to creating an inclusive environment that celebrates varied cultural perspectives.

The event was further taken forward with an introductory video of our eminent Chancellor’s journey to the founding of Symbiosis International University in 1971 at Lavale, Pune. The video portrayed how this little sapling planted in Lavale, Pune has become a huge tree all over India with five state-of-the-art campuses in Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Noida, and Nashik.

Next, Dr. Sunil George, Director, Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad, addressed the gathering with few enlightening words.

The day proceeded with a stunning Cultural Program brought to the audience by Team Aaroh of Antardhwani, the cultural club of SIBM Hyderabad. They captivated the audience with a melodious group song, showcasing their musical talents and setting an energetic and engaging atmosphere for the day’s events.

After the brilliant performance by team Aaroh, the audience was greeted with the insightful thoughts shared by Prof. Rajanikanth Aluvalu, Director, Symbiosis Institute of Technology of Hyderabad.

The event was followed by an insightful and engaging speech by our guest of the day Mr. Nakul Dalwala. Subsequently, the SLS Cultural Club, a member of team Villakshan delivered a remarkable performance, reflecting their diverse cultural influences and contributing to the event’s celebratory spirit.

Up next was our esteemed guest speaker, Ms. Adeline, a leading faculty member at Alliance Françoise Hyderabad, shared valuable insights on the importance of cultural exchange and linguistic diversity. Her address left the audience inspired, highlighting the evolving relevance of French language education in today’s global landscape.

International students Alaa Adel and Aisha Motorwala from Osmania University who brought refreshing global perspectives to the session, emphasizing the power of cross-cultural dialogue in education. Their words highlighted the beauty of diversity and the shared aspirations that unite students across borders.

Next, the Cultural Club of SLS lit up the stage with a vibrant dance performance that blended energy, expression, and rhythm. Their act was a celebration of cultural pride and youthful spirit, earning loud cheers from the audience.

Up next, Aditya Jha took the mic with a heartfelt poem that resonated deeply with the audience. His eloquent verses reflected raw emotion and thoughtful introspection, leaving a lasting impact. Following that, a student from the English and Foreign Languages University shared a brief yet thoughtful speech.

Next, students from SCMS took the spotlight with a soulful musical performance that instantly lifted the mood. Their harmony, rhythm, and stage presence brought a wave of energy and appreciation from the crowd.

Next, the audience was presented with a fun and energizing audience engagement by Team InkSleuths, the literary committee of SIBM Hyderabad. Team InkSleuths led an interactive and dynamic audience engagement session, incorporating a quiz that energized the crowd and encouraged participation.

Taking the stage next was Vibe the dance team from Antardhwani the cultural club of SIBM Hyderabad, setting it ablaze with their powerful performance. Their choreography, packed with passion and precision, had the audience cheering and completely captivated.

As the event in the auditorium neared its conclusion, the dignitaries were requested to proceed to the Amphitheatre for a group photograph.

Finally Dauntless, the Sports Committee kept the energy alive with a lively and engaging games session organized especially for the international students, marking a wonderful end to the event.
