Event Name: Medical camp by Shakti
Objective: To provide assistance in the medical camp and help the villagers in leading a healthy life.
Outcome: To promote public health awareness among villagers, learn about healthcare challenges in rural areas, foster community relationships and create a sense of fulfilment for those involved.

Shakti Women Development and Social Responsibility cell of SIBM- Hyderabad has
organised a medical camp in association with Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisations for the villagers of Ibmrahimpatnam in Rangareddy district on the 20th August 2023 from 10 am to 1 pm.
The medical camp was initiated to provide care to villagers and educate and mobilize communities on the importance of good health. It was also to promote increased access and utilisation of quality health service in rural areas.

Prior to the commencement of the camp the volunteers organized the medicines into separate groups, prepared the registration desk and arranged refreshments for the patients. A designated area was set up for patient registration where their blood pressure, weight and personal information was taken ensuring a streamlined process for medical consultations. Separate spaces were allocated for general doctors to provide medical examinations and consultations. The camp also provided laboratory test services to the patients. There were experienced general practitioners like Dr.Harshini, Dr.Gowtham, Dr.Sai Kumar and Dr.Anjaneyulu providing medical services to attendees addressing a wide spectrum of health issues which included basic check-ups, diagnosis and treatment of common ailments, and prescription of medications.After the check-up was done the patients were taken to the medicine counter where they were provided with prescribed medicines and then they were given maaza and bananas as refreshments.

The camp saw participation from diverse age groups and genders reflecting the comprehensive nature of the medical services provided. Patients ranged from children to elderly individuals and both men and women sought medical attention. The volunteers also aimed at educating the young girls on being healthy and being themselves. The camp ended with Dr. Ridhi Rani-Assistant Professor and head of Shakti Women Development and Social Responsibility Cell,SIBM Hyderabad honoring the doctors and trust members during a felicitation ceremony.

The medical camp in ranga reddy district successfully addressed the healthcare needs of the rural population. It was a commendable initiative that provided essential healthcare services to local community. The outbound activity would not have been possible without Dr. Ridhi Rani-Assistant Professor and head of Shakti Women Development and Social Responsibility Cell,SIBM Hyderabad, Mr. samba and Mr. Srisailam who provided constant support to the entire team. This medical camp served as an example of how collective efforts can make a positive impact. Overall, the volunteers and entire team of Shakti WDC found satisfaction in contributing to meaningful work, bringing a sense of happiness to their hearts.
