The Mess Committee is an intrinsic part of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Hyderabad. We aim at providing healthy and nutritious food to all the students and staff thus creating a feeling of home away from home. Students from all over the country are part of SIBM-Hyderabad therefore the menu for all the meals of the day (breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner) are prepared after keeping in mind the interest of all.
Vision
Mess committee will always like to ensure that good quality food is served in the mess. All the students should get well balanced diet in order to remain healthy and competitive.
Objectives
To provide healthy and nutritious food to all the students and staff.
To make sure that the quality of the food is as per the standards prescribed by UGC.
To ensure that the food preparation is as per food quality standards inducted by SIU.
All Sauced Up - Induction event
On the 16th of July, 2021 MessComm - The Mess Committee of SIBM Hyderabad, organised the event ‘All Sauced Up’ on MS Teams for the new batch of students of SIBM Hyderabad to create a platform for them interact with each other. The objective to have a fun session with the new batch with an event that would be food and general knowledge related. A fun activity of guessing the food and their origins by the students of the junior batch. One and a half hour of event (which started at 3:00 pm) was successfully organized by the entire team of MessComm. A total of 150 students participated in the programme. The team of MessComm was able to break the ice with the upcoming batch and the event came to an end after taking feedback from the participants.
Gourmet Battle 6.0
We organized a food event in a hybrid mode that will be fun and challenging at the same time. Gourmet Battle 6.0 was an event organized by the Mess Committee of SIBM Hyderabad that was a one-day event organized on the dates 10th and 11th February 2022. This flagship event was conducted online. This event had two rounds - a jigsaw puzzle and a no heat meal preparation round.It was much needed food event was successfully organized in a hybrid mode.
