Objective:
 1. To provide a platform for networking between students of SIBM Hyderabad, entrepreneurs, and professionals interested in entrepreneurship and venture capital.
2. To impart knowledge and insights into the world of entrepreneurship and venture capital.

Outcome:
The event Spark 2023 - From Vision to Venture, organized by the Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital Club of the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad was hosted successfully on 23rd September 2023 in the Khemka Auditorium the timings were from 03:00 PM -09:00 PM.

  • Attendees had the chance to interact with a diverse group of participants, including students from various institutions and professionals from the startup and venture capital sectors. This networking allowed for the exchange of ideas, potential collaborations, and the establishment of valuable contacts
  • The VC Panel and Entrepreneurs Panel sessions provided in-depth insights into the challenges, trends, and opportunities in entrepreneurship and venture capital. Panelists shared real-world experiences and practical advice, enriching attendees' understanding of these domains.
  • The success stories and journeys of the esteemed panelists served as a source of inspiration for budding entrepreneurs. Hearing about their achievements and the obstacles they overcame motivated attendees to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams.
  • The event increased awareness about the Indian startup ecosystem, venture capital landscape, and the resources available for aspiring entrepreneurs. Attendees gained a clearer understanding of how to navigate the entrepreneurial journey successfully.

    Spark 2023 was a one-day event organized by the Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital Club of ISB, Hyderabad. The event featured a keynote address by President Pulkit Sachdeva and Prof. Bhagwan Chowdhary.

    The event featured prominent entrepreneurs and venture capitalists who shared their expertise and experiences, providing attendees with valuable insights. The VC Panel Ms. Sushma Kaushik (Partner, Aavishkaar Capital), Mr. Shyam Penumaka (Partner, Dallas Venture Partners) Mr. Abhishek Nag (Partner, Lightspeed Ventures) provided attendees with a deeper understanding of venture capital, its significance in the startup ecosystem, and the criteria used by venture capitalists to evaluate investments.

    The event concluded with prize distribution and a networking session. During the networking session at Atrium, students had the opportunity to meet and interact with esteemed entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. Students learned a lot from their experiences and insights into the Indian start-up ecosystem.
