Arts & Creativity Club : Graffitti

Mission

The purpose of the graffiti club shall be to incorporate students into college activities involving art and for students to express themselves through art and to facilitate interdisciplinary and collaborative creative practices.

Vision

The vision of the club is one of inclusion and creativity, where everyone is welcome! The arts are more than a collection of images, artifacts, designs, and events. The arts are a practical means to better inform ourselves about the things that matter the most to us as a network of societies. The graffiti club engages with the college as a creative centre for the arts. It recognizes the diversity of students, clubs, and programs with a goal of creative interaction.

Objectives

Accept & incorporate views & feedback from others to further develop artistic potential.
To help the students develop their leadership abilities.
To give students who are not art majors a way to explore their creative side and participate in the school’s artistic community.
Showcase & display the best works of art during various events organized by the committees.
Show hard work & dedication, exploit each & every members’ talent, and display beautiful artwork for college.
To increase their critical awareness of the roles and purposes of art and design in different times and cultures
Demonstrate knowledge & understanding of a variety of styles, developments & ideas.
Support & encourage our peers towards a positive working environment.

Functive loop 4.0

This event is of two rounds where the first round was an ‘Auction round’ and the second round was ‘Draw-A-Battle’. In the first round, participants were asked to send their artwork along with a brief description of it. In the next round, participants were put through the fun task of showing the flashcards and were asked to recreate the artwork based on what they saw in that flashcard. With respect to the motto of the club, there were no barriers or restrictions when it came to expressing the creativity of the participants, which was much appreciated not only by the participants but by various institutes’ arts and creativity clubs.
