The Mint club of SIBM-H is a student run association, aiming at providing a pathway for smooth transition of the students from class to the corporate world. If there is anything that balances knowledge with its practical approach, it’s the discussion on Budget. The impact of the budget is seen on individuals and the economy at large. To take proper and better decisions at the right time, analyzing the budget is a must. Budget is an important document, well understood when experts descend on a platform to discuss the fine print in the discussion .
The Budget Panel Discussion 2020 brings in eminent speakers together with future decision-makers to share their views and ponder on it. It will help to comprehend the latest tax structure and policies in India by comparing it with the previous years. It also brings in a fresh perspective of how corporates interpret the budget.
The Budget Panel Discussion enables an individual to decipher the minor and major implications of the budget. The Event:
Union Budget of a year, also referred to as the annual financial statement, is a statement of the estimated receipts and expenditure of the government for that particular year. Budget brings a balanced economic growth in the country coupled with social justice & equality. Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman has present the budget 2020 in the parliament and this event is on deciphering the numbers and data provided.

The Event Flow:
The event is divided into two segments, one for students and the other for the panelists. The Event starts with a welcome note to the key dignitaries present along with Director, Deputy Director & other faculties. After a formal inaugural, we move on to our first segment of the event:
Segment-1:
BUDGET THROUGH THE EYES OF BUDDING MANAGERS
(Time: 2:45 PM to 3:30 PM)
Students present their papers on budget 2020, in front of the panellists. There are 2 groups present each taking 15 min for their presentation. A 5 min session for Q&A will be given to the presenters.
Segment-2:
ANALYSIS OF BUDGET BY INDUSTRY EXPERTS
(Time: 3:30 PM to 4:40 PM)
Now, the panellists head to a discussion & analysis of their view and possible interpretations of the budget. An insight of what actually the budget is & how corporates interpret is dealt here.
Followed by Q&A for 10min.
4:40 PM to 5:00 PM- Closing of the event.
