Dressed smartly in business formals, one could see future leaders in each individual. Banners and standees with the theme “Did you know?” decorated the whole campus.

A loud applause announced the arrival of the first guest of honour, Mr.Anand Pillai. With more than 34 years of corporate experience and a former advisor to Mr.Mukesh Ambani, he talked about the uniqueness of each individual and how to be a step ahead in the competitive world. The unique feature of his presentation was that it was mixed with humour at apt timings which had the audience in splits.

While Mr.Anand was delivering his speech, an announcement marked the arrival of second guest of honour, Mr.Ashwani Acharya who has served as the CEO of Indigo Airlines. Mr.Ashwani talked about the aviation industry and airplane simulators. He also interacted with the audience on how to be successful.

Usually people share their success stories but it is very rare that failure stories are talked about. But this is precisely what the third guest speaker did. Mr.Ravindra Vikram, former Director of Facebook India, narrated personal incidents of success and failure. He reiterated that one should keep trying in order to succeed. His words of advice were interspersed with humour which was very much enjoyed by the audience.

The final session for the day was taken by Mr.Kumar Anshu, an alumni of IIT-B and IIM and the founder of Productive Humour. His starting lines “main yahaan gyaan baant’ne nahi aaya hu” caught the attention of the audience. But he did share gyaan and a lot of it, albeit in a funny and impressive manner. His focus was on making students think out-of-the-box. With unparalleled wit and humorous style of presentation, every second of the session was enjoyed by the audience.

At the end of each session, the respective guest speaker was requested to leave their comments on “Symbi Wall”. The whole event stretched out for eleven hours with breaks in between but every moment of the whole day was worth cherishing.

The appropriation of a feast of the sun-god at the winter solstice is today accepted as the more likely hypothesis for the origin of the celebration of Christmas on 25th December. The symbolism and tone this gives to the feast serve to highlight the divinity of Jesus and the saving implications for all human beings of the mystery that God has taken the human form of a baby in a manger.

Christian community along with other religion friends in India celebrates Christmas with pomp, gaiety and devotion. Celebrations of Christmas festival begin on the eve of Christmas on 24th of December and continue till New Year's Day. Christians across the country mark the birth of Lord Jesus Christ on Christmas Day by participating in special masses organized in churches. Celebrations of Christmas are marked by carols, cakes, candles and decoration of Christmas-Tree. In several parts of India, especially in metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai, Christmas Festival has assumed secular overtones and is joyfully celebrated by people of all religions and communities. Christmas Day called 'Bada Din' (Big Day) in Hindi is a national holiday in India and people from all religions join their Christian friends to make the most of the joyous celebrations.
